MX and Outage Management
The MX product provides the breadth of functionality to support the core functions of a traditional Outage Management System (OMS) including:
- Network Modeling
- Customer to Network Link
- Event/Outage Identification
- Event/Outage Localization and call grouping
- Planned Interruption/Outage Management
- Crew Dispatching
- Managing Estimated Time of Restoration (ETRs)
- Regulatory Reporting.
However MX also includes the wider ancillary capabilities that are part and parcel of any emergency response:
- The management of mutual aid and foreign crews, ensuring that valuable resources are deployed in a timely and efficient manner
- The deployment and maintenance of temporary power (generators)
- The logistics and management of staging areas and other logistics bases.
Outage Management Integration
MX has the capability to integrate with multiple 3rd party systems supplying GIS, SCADA, meter data management systems, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems. MX will generate from this ‘patchwork quilt’ of asset data a single unified network model down to customer/meter level which sits at the heart of the OMS. The network model can be represented as a logical connectivity model and a geospatial representation using the MXSpatial module.
Further integration from SCADA, CRM/IVR , AMI can provide the real-time data to apply to the network model to generate outage identification/ localization.
